Raceboard Training Saturday Feb 12th Oxford Sailing Club
Following on from last year’s successful Race Training Day we have organised another session early in the year to get you all going! Rob Kent will be at Oxford Sailing Club at Farmoor on Sat Feb 12. Fees will be £10.00 for adults, £5 for Youths and Juniors. There will be several raceboards available for participants to borrow – you will need to bring your own rigs - but boards should be reserved in advance by email to

Any 7.8 Techno sailors who are exploring options for the future would be very welcome to take this opportunity of checking out the potential of the raceboard fleet.
The Training Day starts at 10:30 by which time you should be rigged but not changed as Rob will start by offering rigging advice.
PROGRAMME:
The programme is as follows – subject of course to the weather:
1) Check and tune everyone’s kit.
2) 11:00: short Briefing and then afloat by 11:15.
3) Technique – boom height, stance, pumping, upwind, downwind, reaching
4) Race training for the bulk of the day
5) Lunch break around 13:00
6) Short debrief and questions.
FOOD:
The clubhouse canteen will be open for the purchase of bacon butties etc before 09:30 and soup will be on sale at lunchtime. The day is expected to end around 16:00.
